Hello, I went to St. Robert's Primary and Secondary. I remember Cannon Burns very well and was looking for a photo of him and was lead to this page. My maiden name was Love and I left Bellarmine in 1972. I have lived in America for 40+ yrs and hope to visit St. Robert's Church while I am home. x

I taught in St Roberts and had many friends in the parish. I was married by Father Leo Walsh ,one of the priests when Canon Burns was PP. I'm now in Australia and was wondering if anyone knew what happened to Fr Walsh. I emigrated in 1972 and lost touch.

I have great memories of St Roberts, we lived in Brock Rd and used to go to the old church before this one was built. with a big family we had many communions and confirmations there. I was married there in 1971 by Canon Burns, he used to take his dog for walks down our street. will have to come back and visit soon.

1959 Dedication Ceremony of the opening of St. Robert Bellarmine Church - Marie (Ashforth) Hackett 20/04/2015 04:11:11
Saw a posting from folks from Canada (formerly Peat Road) asking for pictures. I grew up in the old Nitshill village. Left in 1962 to come to U.S. I have the booklet from 1959 dedication ceremony of the new St. Roberts on Peat Road, including pictures of the priests at that time: Father Burns (later Monsignor) Fathers Power, McCann and O'Donnell. Would be happy to share. Anyone remember the old St. Bernards four-room red brick school on Nitshill Road. As kids we had to walk from there on First Fridays to the old St. Robert's church at Harstone Road - hail, rain or shine.

History of St Robert's Church - Geraldine Mac Donald 07/04/2012 00:10:18
Do you know if there are any old pictures of St Robert's Church, the Clergy and Parishioners and events in the parish, that could be added to the web page for people to see what the parish was like from 1959 onwards, would bring back lots of memories.
