Covid update
Dear All,
As you might have seen, the First Minister has announced that there will be no changes to the current restrictions and that she expects them to stay in force for at least the next couple of weeks.
You can see all the details at https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-staying-safe-and-protecting-others/
As I have previously said, the headlines for us are:
- capacity limits at events in halls (or non-religious events in church, such as concerts);
- no indoors non-professional contact sports;
- 1m distancing between groups at parish social events;
- use table service for all food and drink at events where alcohol is being sold (table service is not required if alcohol is not being sold at the event in question).
Distancing and table service are not required at wedding receptions or funeral teas, even if alcohol is being sold.
Remember that the general advice from the Government is not to have social events at all, but if you are having them please follow the guidance.
With best wishes for a happy New Year,
Canon Paul Gargaro
Diocesan Coordinator
